Terms and Conditions

K&M is committed to providing our suppliers with the information that is key to their success. The following terms and conditions apply to all purchase orders issued by K&M Engineering, Inc:


1.   All requirements defined in the purchase order and listed in the terms and conditions, including key characteristics, are required to       flow down to subcontracted suppliers.


2.   The Supplier shall direct all technical questions regarding the order to Purchasing. Questions regarding the quality of the product            or service will be directed to Quality Assurance.


3.   Supplier must comply with any special requirements, key characteristic, and critical items identified on PO or drawings.


4.   The supplier shall maintain a Quality System adequate to ensure that products and/or services will meet all specified requirements.


5.   Supplier must notify K&M of any nonconforming materials, products or services, and obtain written approval for their disposition.          When appropriate, nonconformities found by K&M will result in a Supplier Corrective Action Report (SCAR) being issued.  SCAR’s           are to be completed in writing within 30 days and prior to payment. Suppliers are responsible for all costs associated with                           nonconformities.


6.   K&M reserves the right to ensure the competence of employees working of K&M product and request qualifications of those                      employees.


7.   The performance of all suppliers will be monitored for Quality of shipments and On Time Delivery


8.   Acceptance of an order, allows our personnel, our customer representatives, and statutory/regulatory agency representatives the             right of entry into supplier’s facility to review any product, process, or records relative to our purchase order.


9.   The Supplier shall have a system in place to prevent the use of counterfeit parts.


10.  Suppliers agree to contact K&M Engineering, Inc. for approval of changes to:
            -  Product or process that could impact a purchase order
            -  Suppliers or subcontractors

            - Location of manufacture


11.   Supplier must maintain all records associated with purchase orders for 10 years unless otherwise directed on the purchase order


12.   Persons at supplier’s facility shall be made aware of:
            - Their contribution to product or service conformity
            - Their contribution to product safety
            - The importance of ethical behavior
